You can pair an unlimited number of iPads to your activation at no extra cost, allowing you to scale your capture footprint as needed. We’ve also integrated QR code submission to streamline the user experience, alongside our robust data capture and digital sharing tools.

The standard SketchBot system purchase includes one SketchBot software license, one Sketchbot, one SketchBot spring-loaded platform and base, a starter set of 4”x6” paper and several pens, one year of support and licensing (Windows PC or Mac software, iPad photo capture app, and hot folder), access to all promotional materials (video & images), and support for up to five simultaneous SketchBots.

After the first year, your license will require renewal, which includes updates and support for that current year.

We designed SketchBot to be user-friendly from day one. The learning curve is minimal, and you can find everything you need to get started in our System Setup Guide. Once you’ve explored our video tutorials and recommendations, the system operates as a simple plug-and-play solution.

Most 4in x 6in media (matte or glossy) will work great except DNP paper (we’ve found DNP paper has smudging issues with most markers). Testing your pen and paper combination for compatibility and drying time before your event is recommended. Pre-printed media from Vistaprint (matte front, standard thickness) or this Canon photo paper are great options. Smartpress (12pt, matte or coated semi-gloss) also works well.

Yes, you can place your branding image into the ‘watermark’ folder in the SketchBot folder on the desktop of your laptop computer. Further instructions can be found here.

Please note that some complex logos cannot be sketched and would instead be more suited for pre-printing on the takeaways.

Yes, the SketchBot Portal allows you to configure guest take-away emails, SMS, QR sharing along with a number of other great sharing features and branding features.

The software can support up to five simultaneous bots.

People can be photographed using our SketchBot iPad app (MosaiCApture) or a hot folder if you’d like to use your own system or DSLR camera (local mode only). Photos submitted through the hot folder will need to be square orientation.

While there are a lot of great opportunities for add-on enhancements, the items needed to run the system are the SketchBot software, a iOS device (iPad or iPhone) for taking photos, a (Mac or Windows) laptop, and at least one SketchBot. For more information, see the full user guide here.

Yes, you can pre-print your custom branding or logo in the bottom section of the takeaway. Photoshop and Canva template are available here.

SketchBots can also draw custom branding. Instructions for configuring sketched branding are available here. This process involves several steps, some trial and error, and a moderate level of technical and design skill. Please note that not all branding can be reproduced by the SketchBots. If preferred, Picture Mosaics can handle this configuration for an additional cost.

In Dream Studio, you can also incorporate custom logos into each sketch by uploading a reference image. Simply describe where you would like the logo placed, such as on the user’s shirt or in the upper-left corner.

We've developed two specialized platforms to hold the paper at the perfect height for the bots to draw.

The spring-loaded platform holds up to 150 4x6 takeaways. Once a sketch is finished, slide the takeaway out through the front of the platform, leaving a new blank takeaway in place for the next sketch.

The nano tape platform is strong enough to keep a single takeaway in place while also allowing the paper to be easily lifted off. If paper (or another material) is stuck to the nano tape, place the block paper side down into a bowl of water and let it soak for an hour, then the stuck material should peel off.

Note: The gloss or semi-gloss side of your paper should never be applied to the nano tape. This will ruin the nano tape and it will need to be removed and replaced.

The bots come in a protective hard foam protective case with a handle. The foam case is great for easy and safe transport.

It takes a SketchBot about one minute to complete a sketch from when the photo is taken to when the user peels off the paper. So the theoretical max number of sketches would be 60 per hour per bot. This calculation can be used to scale up the bots depending on the event.

For Local Mode, you do not need a internet connection, however to Dream Studio mode (cloud Ai mode), you will need a stable internet connection (wifi or wired)

For extra large events (5,000+ people), we typically recommend hardwiring your system or using a 6e or 7 wifi to avoid heavy traffic wifi issues in the 2g and 5G band.

If you’d like the software to be valid and usable on more than one laptop at the same time, multiple licenses will need to be purchased.

Unfortunately, it would be difficult to test the system without having the base and platform in hand as these are specifically designed for optimal placement of the sketch paper.

Your purchase does come with a starter set of 4”x6” paper and several starter pens. More 4”x6” paper and pens can be purchased any number of vendors (Amazon, VistaPrint, etc). Popular choices include matte, glossy, glitter, branded, etc. Be sure to test your pen and paper combination compatibility, along with compatibility with the platform.
